Hair care lines are usually developed as a set, and the set is where the problems appear. Shampoo and conditioner rarely share a viscosity, so the same closure does not always perform the same way across the line.

The shower environment is the second constraint. Disc-top and flip-top closures each behave differently when hands are wet and the bottle is slippery, and that difference is worth testing on samples rather than deciding from a drawing.
